Day 1 - Pulling the motor on the Kawi

I spent a couple of hours taking my time to pull the exhaust, tank and side covers off the bike.

 The exhaust came off easily (too easy... the fasteners on the engine seemed too easy).


I took more time with the tank, since it was not completely empty and this was my first time tanking the tank off this bike. Turned out to be a non-issue. No gasoline spills.

 

I  took the air cleaners off and covered the engine openings for now.

Next, I need to stabilize the bike on stands, support the engine and start dismantling.
