So, today was the day.
I performed the first modification to the Road King.... I swapped out the stock handlebars with the Heritage style handlebar, so I can sit a little more comfortably on the bike. I was having to lean on the stock handlebars a little too much. These bars required no cabling or hose to be changed, so it was fairly straight forward.
Now I can sit upright on the bike and keep my arms relaxed. They made need some minor adjustment, but I think this mod was the right way to go.

Slow start this spring
Well, it is going to be April soon, and yet I have only gotten in a handful of riding days. Not that I have taken care of all my springtime duties. I have not changed the oils. I haven't changed the handlebars yet. I have not spent much time looking for a shop where I can peruse Mustang seats....
However, I did get the bike inspected today, so that is a good start.
I will try to get the fluids I need this week, and I have almost convinced myself to swap out the handlebars this Thursday. We shall see how committed I am.
There is also a mod for the maintaining the running lights on, even when the high beam is on, that I am considering.
I almost forgot... I did pick up a used Street Glide stock exhaust so I could gut the catalytic converter out. Mark and I worked on that. It was a good time.
Who knows when I will actually get around to putting this new exhaust header on the bike...
